The background of the project

Záhony and its surrounds is the eastern border of the European Union, and also the connecting and ware stopping point of the wide gauge rail, that was built up in the former Sowjetunion and of the norma gauge rail, that travelled in Europe. Under the continuously developing economic relations the area between the two gauges is very suitable for far transport and logistical activities (eg. Handling, packing ) too. It means a beneficial region because of the ever-growing eastern-europian investor intentions, because the delivered raw materials can find a customer as EU products after the processing.
